Cold Weather Got You Down? Your Tires Feel the Same Way.

As temperatures drop during winter months, you may have noticed that your vehicle’s tires look a bit low.  Cold weather affects tire inflation pressure and needs to be corrected before the rubber meets the road.

Visit Jiffy Lube® and let us inspect, reset and/or service your Tire Pressure Monitoring System Services (TPMS) light.  The TPMS light on your dashboard takes its cues from an electronic system inside your vehicle that monitors pressure and notifies you if a tire is under- or over-inflated.

Your vehicle manufacturer’s recommended inflation pressure is in the owner’s manual and on a label on the driver’s side door frame.  Don’t inflate your tires to the pressure listed on the tire itself, as this number is the maximum pressure the tire can hold, not the recommended pressure for the vehicle.

It’s vital to inspect your tires at least once a month and before long road trips.  Check the pressure and for any damage, including cuts, punctures, bulges, scrapes, cracks or bumps.  Also, make sure you have a spare tire on board, just in case.

Whether your tires need rotating, balancing, repair or even replacement, Jiffy Lube tire services will get you back on the road fast.

Jiffy Lube recommends following manufacturer recommendations, where applicable, for maintenance schedules and service intervals.  From oil changes to, batteries, wipers, filters and more, with our fast, convenient expanded services, That’s a job for Jiffy®
